The second day began with the unique success story of Phonak, who manufacture hearing instruments. Dr Luca Mastroberardino demonstrated how the power of innovation could turn a handicap – namely, wearing a hearing aid – into an advantage when the hearing aid functioned as a piece of multimedia equipment.

Next up was world-famous pioneer and management guru Dr Kjell Nordström, whose approach is both mind-opening and incredibly entertaining at the same time. His view of the bbusiness of the future contained more than a few surprises, and his theories and predictions certainly prompted discussion. Dr Nordstrom used his incomparably direct and determined style to make it very clear to participants that we have to make a choice: we are either fit or we are sexy.

In the afternoon, participants had a choice of three special excursions: one group went off to see the hidden gems of Lucerne, away from the tourist crowds, the second tracked down the secrets of Swiss chocolate, while the third group saw how paper has been manufactured throughout the ages up to the present day courtesy of the Cham Paper Group in Cham.
